Rosa Voulon (45) came to Proximities after leaving the Dutch Ministry of Defence, where she worked for 18 years. She just started to get to know her new colleagues at Proximities when the pandemic hit and. This meant she had to get further acquainted online. Roughly one year after her transition from the government, the moment has come to find out what it has brought her so far.
For exactly four years now, Tom Leijte (27) has been working for Proximities. A good reason to look back and towards the future. Tom was a youth politician, as chairman of the VVD-youth organization JOVD he knows the ‘Binnenhof’ like the back of his hand, graduated cum laude as a historian and has been immersing himself in risk & security since 2016. At Proximities, he is a pioneer in information security and worked as a corporate security advisor for one of our clients.
Organisations that improve their information security usually take measures to tighten company procedures, enhance the protection of their systems or even limit the physical access within their office. One crucial element of information security is often overlooked though: the human factor. In the end, even if all other procedures and systems are fully secured, your information could still be vulnerable through the people who have access to it.
Roelof Schuurman-Meeske, Risk Consultant at Proximities knows the company from the inside out. He joined right after its establishment. After his master’s in international Relations, he became Proximities’ first employee and started working as an analyst. Since then, both Roelof and the company have grown considerably.

Sadly, however, travelling for business will never be the same. The ongoing change is perhaps best illustrated by an example of a project of one of our clients in Israel.
