Who Are We?
Proximities is the partner for Dutch companies and governments in the areas of risk, security, and intelligence. We provide advice on complex geopolitical risks and security issues, bringing together external factors (political, economic, socio-cultural, and security) and internal organizational factors (people, assets, information, and reputation). By using advanced sensors, we translate geopolitical issues into concrete action perspectives and play a leading role in national and international security.
How is Proximities structured, and what is the A-team?
Proximities has experienced consultants who, drawing on their military and intelligence backgrounds, advise clients in the fields of risk, security, and intelligence. The consultants are supported by analyses conducted by a team of analysts: the ‘A-team’. In addition, the A-team independently delivers intelligence products to clients in both the government and business sectors. The analysts acquire, analyze, and report information using a wide range of unique sensors, both from open-source and closed-source origins. Through this approach, Proximities has established a leading position in the Netherlands.
What does an A-team team leader do?
As a team leader, you are responsible for directing, guiding, and innovating the A-team. You ensure an efficient acquisition, analysis, and reporting process. On a daily basis, you motivate and guide a growing team of professionals with academic backgrounds. You recognize and implement new methodologies and serve as an inspiring example for your team members. In addition, you handle HR matters (personal guidance, career planning for team members, training & development), coordination and planning, and act as the link between experienced advisors and young professionals.
What qualifications should a team leader ideally have?
Job Requirements
- HBO/WO degree (Higher Professional Education/University level)
- Fluent in English and Dutch, both spoken and written
- Experience in (intelligence) analysis and reporting
- At least 3 years of leadership experience
- Strongly developed social skills
- 4-7 years of commercial and/or government experience in the field
- Available for 32-40 hours per week, with at least 80% office presence
